What are the beds like?
Some rooms offer a super cozy king-sized bed, while other rooms come with two queen beds!

What are the bathrooms like?
All guest rooms have a private bathroom. In your private bathroom, you’ll find complimentary towels, washcloths, toilet paper, and soap.

What’s the maid service like?
We do throw in daily housekeeping to clean up your mess. We appreciate that you keep it to a minimum, but let’s be real. You’ll probably drag in half the beach each time you come back from the sand!

What will my view be like?
A number of rooms offer views of the beach, pool, and other Florida vistas!

Do you have air conditioning?
Yes, of course! We are in South Florida...

Do the guest rooms come with kitchens so I can cook my own food?
Yes, some of the Bungalow rooms have kitchenettes to cook! Other incredible food options can be found on-site or within walking, skating or cycling distance from your doorstep.

I heard that the rooms have chalkboards? That’s random.
Random indeed and the rumors are true. However, we do not provide the chalk and have a strict BYOC (Bring Your Own Chalk) policy. We’re glad you find the humor in this arbitrary amenity, too. You never know when you’ll have that "aha!" moment!

How can I access my guest room?
If you stay on the first floor, you’ll have a front door and a back door. You’re free to enter/exit through either door, and dual access also comes in handy for pizza deliveries and late-night rendezvous... the possibilities are almost endless.

Do you have TVs in each room?
Yes! All rooms have beautiful HD Samsung 50" LED TVs – so you don’t need to leave your room. But we hope you’ll get out and enjoy some sunshine during the day too.

Do you offer smoking rooms?
No. Plunge is a non-smoking resort, but designated smoking areas are "conveniently" located just seven miles north of us along the A1A. We have come a long way since the 70s. Note that a cleaning fee of $250 will be charged for smoking cigarettes in rooms or on balconies and $420 for smoking anything else.

Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes! No need to worry about SMSA (aka social media separation anxiety). Plus, we know you’ll take some Instagram-worthy snapshots while you’re here that need to be shared ASAP.

Can I have packages delivered to Plunge?
Yes! However, there will be a $5 per box charge for any package received that is larger than 8.5 x 11 standard envelope size. Pallets are not permitted. Guests must have a reservation with the name matching the delivery address or the package will be refused. Packages not claimed following departure will be returned to the sender or discarded within 14 days if unable to be returned.

Is the hotel dog-friendly?

You bet! We love our furry friends here at Plunge Beach Resort. Just be aware that there’s a non-refundable pet fee of $75 per pet, per stay, and we allow a maximum of 2 dogs with a 40 lbs weight limit per animal. In other words, you can’t bring the whole pound. And don’t forget that pets are not permitted on the pool decks and cannot be left unattended in our rooms. For the comfort of all guests, we will only provide one warning if your furry friend is left unattended and is barking or crying before requesting an early check-out from our resort.

Is there a resort fee?

We charge a nightly resort fee of $39 plus tax per room. In exchange, you get onsite parking service, high-speed WiFi, local telephone calls, use of beach and pool towels, 24-hour access to the fitness center, and hotel loaner bicycles to explore Lauderdale-by-the-Sea at your leisure!

Is there an age minimum at check-in?

Yes, your kids will not be allowed to check in unsupervised… sorry about that! Minors must be accompanied by an adult over 21 years of age, and the minimum age at check-in is also 21.

Are there cancellation fees?

There are. We try to be pretty flexible at Plunge Beach Resort, but be sure to give us a heads up if anything changes with your reservation! The standard time for cancellations without fees is at least 3 days prior to arrival. During special events and holidays, it’s 7 days prior to arrival. If you don’t cancel within the time frame, a cancellation fee will be applied at a minimum of 1 night room plus tax. Prepaid, non-refundable reservations cannot be changed or cancelled and are subject to a 100% penalty.
